Abstract :
Objective: Aim of this research is to investigate the trend level of violence and the factorsconcerned violence.Materials and methods: This study contains 912 students who present in the school. Thesestudents accepted to join this study. To collect data, information form and violence tendency scalewere used. In the analysis of data the number and percentage distribution,(for univariate andmultivariate factors) logistic regression analysis were calculated. Results: Students trend level of violence are at 31,8%(n=290) low, 53,9% (n=492) high and14,3% (n= 130) too high. The factors that effect too high violence tendency level were evaulatedwith the univariate logistic regression analysis. As aresult of logistic regression analysis,t heseresults were obtained:at factors such as gender, success at school, interested in sports to repeat ayear at school, there is statistically significant difference (p 0,05). And at factors such as takingdisciplinary action, any harmful substance use, smoking, being a witness to violence at school, exposure violence at school, witnessing family violence, exposuring family violence, playingcomputer games, violence in the media, there is a statistically significant difference. At multivariate regression analysis, no study (R=2,262) being a witness to violence in the family(R=0,432) being a witness to violence at school /exposure violence at school (C)R=2,578,R=0,478)smoking (OR=2,578) playing computer game (OR=C),617) a violent hero to admire in the media(0R= 1,802) (p 0,05).Conclusion: If the students who have very high violence tendency, turn this violence tendencyinto action this event is evaulated as a potential health risk. Violence effects physical andpsychosocial health of students negatively. At the same time it effects academic success negativelytoo. In this way these students will be excluded by their friends and the violence tendency of thesestudents will will be reinforced. Protect students from violence, violence prevention, provision ofearly and appropriate interventions within the context of school health services, understandingwithin the team and especially with effective school health nursing services performed.
