Abstract :
Objective: Pregnancy; although it is a common event in women life, the neuroendocrine and psycho-social changes that it causes are much more such that they could not be compared to the other periods of life. For this reason, determining the factors that affecting pregnant psycho-social health and attempting appropriately after the pregnancy is important. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of some social-demographic and obstetric properties in nullipar pregnant at the last trimester on the level of their psycho-social health.Material and Method: The sample consists of 222 nullipara pregnant at the last trimester who applied to the gynecological diseases and birth policlinic at Public Hospital in Gaziantep city center. Sample size analysis that was advised for studies identifying determiners which are belongs to the dependent variable was utilized to determine sample size. Data was collected through a survey, which was prepared by the researcher, consisting of 19 questions and Pregnancy Psycho-social Health Assessment Scale (PPHAS). The researcher collected data from pregnant who applied to the gynecology policlinic between 30.01.2013-01.05.2013 dates. Numbers, percent, mean, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis Analysis of Variance was used to analyze data. The values which are below 0,05 were assumed to be statistically significant.Findings and Result: GPSDO total score was evaluated as 3,95±0,45 and it was determined that psycho -social health of pregnant is well. There is not a statistically significant mean difference between GPSDO total score and subdimension score in terms of age groups, educational background, perceived income situation, family type, the city in which was lived long time, marriage decision, age groups of couples, couples educational background, couples work situation, gender of baby, miscarriage story, nauseation at the first and second trimester, vomit at the second trimester, hypno issue at the first second and third trimester, muscle ache at the first, second and third trimester sleep problems (p O,OS). It was determined that socio-demographic, obstetric traits, issues at pregnancy can be effective on psycho-social health at antenatal period.
