Abstract :
Objective: COPD is a high morbidity and mortality of lung disease which is a major publichealth problem all over the world and our country. Material and Method: In this research, to determine the functional status of patients with COPD individuals accompanied by model of functional status and functional status effects to determine the factors of individuals with COPD is a descriptive study. Research, patients with COPD were regularly followed up at the outpatients among April20- June 20 2011 at University Faculty of Medicine Chest diseases is carried out. Patient data form, St George Respiratory Questionnaire, Basal Dyspnea Index, The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Functional Performance Inventory, Visual Analogue Scale, 6-minute walking test, Fatigue Severity Scale were used in order to collect the data. Results: Functional performance in individuals with COPD the total score:2.70±0.50 and can do so forced, their moderate dyspnea (x: 6.02 ± 1.86) 02 saturation level92.71 ± 13.5± 3.8 in fatigue levels were found to be4.26±3.8.1n evaluation of the research results showed that functional statusof patients with COPD was influenced by age, dyspnea, fatigue, disease severity, depression, anxiety and health perception. In multiple regression analysis, it was determined on the age of the strongest predictors of functional performance. Conclusion: Dyspnea and fatigue associated with each other, negatively affect the functional performance of dyspnea, fatigue is not effective, respectively.
