Hypotheses to Explain Exchange Rate-Based Stability Program Symptoms and An Evaluation of Turkey

In this study, general characteristics of exchange rate based stability programs are analyzed theoretically and then it is indicated that, economic developments occurred with the implementation of such programs generate macro economic developments which are termed exchange rate based stability programs symptoms. Also indicated that, hypotheses which explain exchange rate based stability programs symptoms are an asymmetric situation of macroeconomics variables generated by implemented exchange rate based stability programs and these hypotheses are not capable of explaining symptoms precisely.
