An Assesment For The Prehistoric Defence Walls in Anatolia
Abstract :
The walls or wall-like structures of forty eight archeological sites in Anatolia between the period of Neolitic age and Early Bronze Age were evaluated according to their constructional materials, techniques, shapes, traces of fire and destruction as well as other architectural additional structures. It was concluded that all the walls in these sites except Aşıklı Höyük of Acheramic Age maybe used for defensive intentions.
