Cesarean section rate and indications in our clinic to theree years

The aim of this study, to examine the indications of cesarean section rates and distribution of cesarean section in all the births given during the tree years in our departman of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Records of 2975 patients that gave birth between to January 2007 and December 2009 were retrospectively examined. The number of total births was 429 in 2007, 1301 in 2008 and 1245 in 2009. The number of cesarean section performed was 83 in 2007, 255 in 2008 and 349 in 2009. The total number of births was 2975 during three years period and this period 687 cesarean section was performed. Our caesarean rate was found 23.1 %. The rate of caesarean section in our clinic was found to be increased similar trend in our country and over the world at the result in this study.
