Abstract :
Zoonotic infections are communicable diseases between humans and animals with global distribution. Nearly half of the human pathogens are zoonotic. Zoonotic infections are caused by totally new or partially new agents. Change in Microbial adaptation, environment, dietary habits, social and sexual practices and increase in global travel are the main reasons of emerging or re-emerging zoonosis. Recent examples of emerging zoonotic diseases: SARS, avian influenza and pandemic influenza.
