Abstract
Every year in the world, approximately 33 millions of the total 57 millions people die away due to the chronic diseases. According to the World Health Organization data, 36% of the total deaths in the world will be the result of the cardiovascular diseases in 2020. In Turkey, these calculations are currently estimated to be around 200 thousand. In this review, the systematic approach to the cardiovascular risk factors have been discussed.
