Abstract :
Obesity is a growing healthcare problem worldwide, and increasing number of obese patients are undergoing to surgery. Obesity is known to increase morbidity and mortality in the general population and thus is perceived as a risk factor for adverse post surgical outcomes. These patients should be carefully evaluated in the preoperative period. Identifying possible risk factors enables a safer follow-up both intraoperatively and postoperatively.
