XX. ve XXI. Century women s fashion has to find new sources of inspiration, due to its ever changing trends. Contemporary women s fashion re-considers the forms, fabric designs and textures of the previous women s fashion within a nostalgic approach. Nostalgy in women s fashion covers previous fashion styles, such as Baroque, Empire, Romantic Periods, and at the same time, the dominant fashion styles of the XXth century, such as 1950 s American culture, Pop, Rock n Roll stars, film actresses, 1970 s Disco culture, 1980 s Punk and the adaptations of the classical womens s fashion of Chanel and Dior. Nostalgical trends of women s fashion brings a more personal styles of expression to the contemporary women, against the standardization and ordinariness of the modernism.
