THE EFFECTS OF PREPARATORY WORKS LEVELS OF MUSICAL BANDS TO THE THEIR CONCERT PERFORMANCES
Abstract :
This research presents the effects of preparatory works of musical bands to the their concert performances. The population of the research constitutes the violoncello students studying in musical education departments of faculties of education in Turkey. The sample of the research constitutes all the violoncello students studying in musical education department of faculty of education at Gazi University. In this research, the scores of preparatory works in musical bands prepared by researchers and specialists and concert performance scores are used. As a result of the research; *There is a positive correlation between preparatory works scores. And both musical success and the success for executing the tasks within the band as required. The relation between preparatory works scores and technical success is reverse and very weak. *According to Kruskal Wallis test, there aren’t distinctions between assessments of specialists. *Preparatory works scores. Creates the most significant impact on the scores of the success for executing the tasks within a band as required. Then musical success, technical success follow this respectively. *At the end of the research, the suggestions are put forward by the researcher.
