Abstract :
We have witnessed countless events that changed the world order beginning from early 1900’s. New discoveries, technical advances that facilitate the life, increased speed of industrialization, raging wars, social distresses, economic crises and such formations have, at the same time, promoted doubt and fears for future. The reflexes exhibited against these fears and doubts have found significant responses in the field of art and philosophy. Concentration of empirical and scientific method searches in these periods especially in the field of art have led to reassessment and questioning of mainstream art values. Then, practices of art required research on provable results of reason and emotions instead of flawless visual formations. In these times, traditionally accepted description and practices of art were made to reach unconventional results once the aesthetic and art disciplines have been reassessed. Dadaists’ attitudes against the art, their evaluation of anti- artistic evolutions with ironic constructs by refusing the high art and values, have completely changed the art object ignoring traditional art practices and theories. In this topic, impacts of Dada movement and how it caused changes in art object were investigated, and its contributions to art formations following thereafter were evaluated by examples and reference sources. In searching controversial points in the perception and disciplinary construct of today’s art, the practices, discourse and approaches of prime thinker and artists have been touchstone to research.
