Abstract :
While choosing dressing styles and accessories from past to present, man has always been influenced by many concepts and created his own style. However, fashion phenomenon has been influenced by the conditions of everyday life and fields of arts in line with people’s expectations and needs as well. In this study, music, which is a field of art that affects people’s dressing styles has been studied. The effect which music genres have on people’s clothes and colours as well as the accessories which are used and hair styles has been tried to be determined and this effect has been aimed to be specified. In the article, all the necessary data have been collected, and related theses, reports, bulletins and books as well as various works published online have been used. Due to the fact that music and fashion, which share important part of the world economy, are leading sectors that affect each other, each music genre comes with its own style. Therefore, this study is important in terms of not overlooking the music genres which are involved in constant interaction with fashion.
