Abstract :
This study was aimed to determine the effects of four different row spacing (20, 30, 40 and 50 cm) on the yield and yield components of two different coriander cultivars (Arslan and Gürbüz) in Van ecological conditions during the years of 2006 and 2007. Field trials were arranged by Factorial designed in Completely Randomized Block Designed with three replications in the experimental fields of Agricultural Faculty of Yuzuncu Yil University. In this study, plant height, the number of main branches, the number of umbrella, the number of seeds in the umbrella, thousand seed weight, fruit yield, fruit essential oil content, essential oil yield and biological yield of coriander varieties were investigated. In conclusion, the number of main branches, the number of umbrella, the number of fruits in the umbrella, thousand seed weight and fruit essential oil content increased; but plant height, fruit yield, essential oil yield and biological yield decreased by enlarging sowing spacing. In the study, fruit yield was changed between 893-1216 kg ha^-1. With respect to fruit yield, the highest values were obtained from 20 cm row spacing in Arslan coriander cultivar.
