VISUAL ARTS TEACHER CANDIDATES FROM THE ANXIETY LEVELS ANGLE INVESTIGATION OF SEVERAL VARIABLES
Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the conserns anxiety domains and the levels of visual art teacher candidates about their profession. The participants of the research is the fourth grade students of Vısual Art Teacher Training Departments in Turkey, and the sampling includes the three universities: Ağrı Ibrahim Çeçen University, Atatürk University, Uludağ University. Data is collected through the “Anxiety Inventory of teacher Candidates” and the analysed with SPSS 13.0.The following questions have been handled in the study; do the occupational concerns of the future teachers vary according to the sex, income level of their families and they graduated high school type? According to the findings of the study, sex and graduated high school type are not an independent variable to lead a significant difference in “task, I and student oriented concerns”. The high-income level of the families has revealed to be an independent variable, which significantly decreases the “task, I and student oriented concerns”. Finding show that the visual art teacher candidates have low levels of professional anxiety.
