Abstract :
This article studies a miniature entitled “A Young Man Wearing Boots” by Riza Abbasi, one of the most important representative of the School of Isfahan. Phases of Riza Abbasi s life and features of his works sheds light on understanding of the above – mentioned miniature. Since it belongs to the last of his life, it summarises his view on the art of miniature. The work portrays a young wearing his boots and a man who helps him. The frame of the miniature is decorated by a small tree, a cloud pattern, cartridges with flowers and original calligraphies. Riza Abbasi s miniatures are displayed and auctioned in various parts of the world, especially in the west. Furthermore, many works of the artist are exhibited in several museums. There is no record of past movements of the miniature in the inventory book. It is probably bought in an auction and preserved very well for its importance.
