Abstract
In this study, Cubist, Futurist and Cubofuturist effects on Wolf Vostell’s “Sun In Your Head” Video Art project were evaluated. The ability of the technology to reproduce and reach wider masses has shaped Video Art. The similarity between the traditional artistic expression forms and the cubist approach which is regarded as the innovative approach of the period that disrupted the form has been examined. Both the artistic approach and the formal and the contextual approaches are discussed in a comparative way. The process of shaping the artistic expression of the social, cultural and the political events of the period reflected in the cubist forms has been discussed. Both content and formally similar approaches have been identified in Video Art project. Evaluations based on comparative visual examples have an important place in this study.
