EVALUATION OF SCIENCE EDUATION TEACHERS’ OPINIONS ON TEACHING PROCESS OF ELECTIVE SCIENCE APPLICATIONS COURSE
Abstract :
This study was carried out in order to determine the opinions of science teachers for the curriculum of elective science applications applied to public schools. Fenomonal pattern was used in the study. The research study group who was 6 science teacher served in a medium-sized province of eastern Anatolia. When working group was created, criteria and maximum diversity sampling methods were used for purposeful sampling methods. Research data were collected using semi-structured interview form. Content analysis technique was used in the interpretation process of interview data. As a result of the study, the teachers said that the Science Applications course increased the persistence in mind because The Science Applications course is that the Science course is a repetetion. However, in the implementation process, teachers have problems such as to provide course materials, to see themselves inadequate in the use of the laboratory, having to make a classical evaluation rather than a product evaluation because of the high number of classroom members.
