Abstract :
In this study, the effects of STEM applications consonant with context - based learning on pre- service teachers environmental sensitivity, behaviors and attitudes towards the environment, their nature loyalty and their attitudes towards technology were examined. The study was conducted for 26 weeks with 26 pre-service teachers studying at the faculty of education of a state university. In the study, pre-test and post-test quasi-experimental design with control group were used from quantitative research methods. In the scope of the study, data were gathered by using attitude scale towards technology, sensitivity to environmental problems, environmental behavior scale, environmental attitude scale and nature loyalty scale. As a result of the analysis of the data, it has been understood that the context-based learning has a positive effect on the sensitiveness and behaviors towards environment. Moreover, it has been understood that context-based learning has a positive effect on the loyalty to nature and attitudes towards technology. Suggestions have been made for new studies to be made in light of these obtained results.
