EVALUATION OF STUDENT GAMES ACCORDING TO TEACHERS’ OPINION IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
Abstract :
Preschool education has great importance for an individual. Since it helps to gain positive behaviors. Game is an important tool in pre-school period for gaining the desired behaviors and knowledge. It helps the child to improve knowledge, skills, emotions and imagination. It serves as an important contributor for the child in terms of social, emotional, language related and psychomotor developmental fields. In this study we aimed to investigate whether there are significant differences in the opinions of preschool teachers regarding the use of game in pre-school education according to gender, age, educational status, occupational seniority, number and age of the students in the classroom, staff status, and assistant staff. 175 pre-school teachers from 30 schools in Diyarbakır were included. Our results demonstrated that teacher opinions about use of game in pre-school education showed significant difference according to teachers’ age and, occupational seniority. There were statistically no significant differences between the remaining parameters.
