شماره ركورد :

Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the long-run relationship between education expenditures and health (life expectancy) in the 25 OECD countries over the period from 1975 to 2008 by utilizing the Pedroni and Kao panel cointegration, Canning-Pedroni causality and VECM methods. According to Pedroni and Kao panel cointegration results it is found a significant relationship between education expenditures and health. Lamda-Pearson statistics of Canning and Pedroni (2008) causality results indicate the long-run uni-directional causality from health to education expenditures. The results of VECM indicate bidirectional causality between education expenditures and health in the long-run. It is concluded that there is a strong cointegration relationship between education expenditures and health in the long-run.
