Abstract :
Conflict is inevitable phenomena of the life of the individual and the organizations. Effectively managing conflict rather than avoiding or ignoring conflict is important for the health of the individual and the organization. Effective management of conflict plays a role in determining conflict management styles and is affected by a variety of variables. The personality traits among these variables are of great importance in conflict management. Managers, who are responsible for the management of conflicts in organizations, are spending most of their time for conflict management. At this point, it becomes important to the ways of managing conflict. Indeed, researches show that management styles are affecting individual, group and organizational effectiveness. From this viewpoint, a research was applied on the managersworking in the private sector in order to determine the relationship betweenpersonality traits and conflict management styles. According to the research, it isdetermined that the five personality factors and conflict management styles haverelationships.
