Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to examine the socioeconomic development levels of provinces in Turkey according to geographical regions. In the study, it is used 63 variables that define the socioeconomic development of provinces and the socioeconomic development levels are investigated by principal component analysis. The socioeconomic development rankings of seven geographic region and the provinces based on geographical regions are done by using the year of 2012 socioeconomic development indexes of provinces. Empirical findings of the study indicate that the socioeconomic development is not equally distributed across of the country.
