ADIFFERENT HADITH TERM: LAHIN -LETAIFU L-HIKEM CASE-

Gumushanevi is one of the 19th century Ottoman scholars. He is also a sufi-order leader. Gumushanevi, who devoted his life to science and to build the society, wrote a lot of books in various branches of Islamic sciences, five of them are in the hadith field. One of these works is Letaifu’l-hikem, a commentary on Garaibu’l-ehadis which written on the basis of alphabetical order of hadiths. Gumushanevi, in this work, preferred to explain hadiths shortly. He benefited from Munavi’s Feyzu’l-kadir, a commentary book on al-Camiu’s-sagir. Gumushanevi, who used the established terms during explaining hadiths, sometimes used the term of “lahin” that special to him. But, he did’nt make any satisfying explanation about the content of this term. So, in this article, we explored what could be understood by using this term.
