Abstract :
At travel agencies are organizations that mediate goods and services produced in tourism to be transmitted to customers, comprising a significant part of tourism establishments, despite all the technological advances, there has been a decrease towards the demand for human labor. On the other hand, some challenges, resulting from the irregularities of working hours, and density of the face-to-face interaction with the guests may give way to the feeling of burnout, which is an important factor in the accomplishment and discouragement of the employees. Burnout syndrome which can be investigated in three dimension emotional exhaustion, personal accomplishment, and cynicism affect employee performance as well as service quality of the establishment. The aim of this study is to find out the level of burnout in travel agencies employees. Maslach Burnout Inventory is used to measure the occupational burnout in the travel agencies employees in Hatay.
