ANALYSIS OF THE “100 BASIC BOOKS FOR PRIMARY EDUCATION” ACCORDING TO THE THEMES IN TURKISH COURSE TEACHING PROGRAM
Abstract :
This study includes ‘main theme’ and ‘sub theme’ evaluations on 84 samples selected from 100 Basic Books in Primary Education suggested by Ministry of National Education. 14 main themes and 116 sub themes, stated in secondary stage program of Turkish lesson in primary education, were searched and determined in these samples. The statistics of main themes and sub themes were introduced and it was made some evaluations on these statistics. The prepared main theme and sub theme lists have a property of that they can give prior knowledge about readings to students, teachers, families of students and concerned readers. Some samples selected from 100 Basic Books in Primary Education were classified considering their genres in terms of school grades. Furthermore, reviews on 100 Basic Books in Primary Education were taken into consideration and it was given some suggestions about the solutions.
