THE EVALUATION OF TURKISH LITERATURE CURRICULUM FOR 9TH GRADE ACCORDING TO THE TEACHERS’ PERCEPTIONS ABOUT CRITICAL THINKING
Abstract :
The aim of this study is to make Turkish Language and Literature teachers in Çanakkale province centrum and districts evaluate Turkish Literature Program in terms of critical thinking. Screening model as one of Descriptive Research Methods was used as the Research method. A survey form was developed for data collection. The first part of the survey including eight questions was prepared as personal information questionnaire and the second section consisted of 55 items as determining vision of teachers on Turkish Literature Program of 9th classes in terms of critical thinking”. Survey consists of 55 items. Five options were given in front of each item to indicate the frequency of the behavior to be seen. These are rated from the most negative to the most positive as I certainly do not agree- certainly agree (1-5). Reliability of the inventory was identified with Cronbach Alpha. Reliability of the survey was found as .90. All the applied surveys were accepted completely as reliable and practiced. At the end of the survey; text selection of Turkish Literature Program of the 9th classes was found to be partially sufficient in terms of critical thinking.
