STUDENT VIEWS REGARDING TEACHING STAFFS’ SUFFICENCIES IN TEACHING STRATEGIES- METHODS AND TECHNIQUES, COMMUNICATION, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION
Abstract :
In this descriptive study, teaching methods and techniques, communication, measurement and evaluation skills of instructors working at faculty of education and faculty of arts and sciences were investigated according to student views. In the research, working group consisted of 568 undergraduate students of faculty of education and faculty of arts and sciences at Kilis 7 Aralik University and University of Gaziantep. The questionnaire developed by the researcher was used to gather the data. In analyzing data, t-test was used to find out frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and meaningfulness values. The findings indicated that more than half of the instructors’ skills about teaching methods and techniques, communication, measurement and evaluation were not adequate. The views of students showed significant differences according to gender, faculty, and department variables.
