TYPES OF DISCIPLINE THAT PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS PRACTICE
Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to examine what types of discipline the class and branch teachers in primary schools practice, and to give information about the types of disciplines that teachers practice. In the introduction of this study, the problem, aim and importance of the research were stated, and in the theoretical framework, the types of discipline and the factors affecting the discipline were explained. The data on the types of discipline that the teachers practice was obtained by Discipline Types Scale which was applied to 303 teachers working at the 9 primary schools in Kahramanmaras city center between the education years of 2008 and 2009 with the method of simple random sampling. At the evaluation of the teachers’ points on Discipline Types Scale, t-Test, Kruskal Wallis Test and Analyze of one-way Variance (ANOVA) were applied. In this research, it was found that there were meaningful differences between the genders, branches and ages of the teachers and the types of discipline that teachers practice.
