Abstract :
There exist many statements with the same field of concept in the vocabulary of the dialects of Turkish. Determination of these statements is of great importance in terms of revealing the power of expression of the Turkish Language and of categorically recording the vocabulary of the dialects fading into oblivion under the effect of the standard Turkish. In the present study, it was aimed to determine the statements meanings or an alloseme of which are coded with the expressions such as “birden, birdenbire, ansızın, aniden, ani, bir anda” in the dialects of Turkish based on the sources found. Based on scans conducted, five hundred one statements were found of such quality. These statements most of which are sound imitative and derivative are classified according to their roles and natures. Based on the classification made, it was determined that 64.07% of the statements are used as an adverb, 28.34% are used as a verb, 6.98% are used as a name or a nominalized adjective while 0.5% are used as an exclamation. It was also determined that 72.05% of these statements are derived, 14.77% of them are compounds, 7.18% of them are radical, 5.78% of them are reduplications while 0.19% of them are used in a sentence structure.
