THE VIEW OF SCHOOL MANAGERS’ ABOUT CRISIS MANAGEMENT AT PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The aim of this study is that investigate the potential causes of crisis at primary schools, how to manage the crisis and to find some solutions about crisis management with in the light obtained data. This study is quantitative. This study is carried out with eight school managers working in the schools located in Kahramanmaras city center at 2011-2012 educational year and second term. The data were gathered with an open-ended questionnaire consist of five questions.While comprising data collection issues; were aimed causes of crisis internal and environmental functions of schools, the roles of school principals in recovering from crisis, the methods of intervening to the crisis, crisis plan and the benefits of crisis.The data was analyzed with content analysis from qualitative data analysis methods.At the end of the study, being introduced what the internal and external factors causing the crisis in schools, were considered the roles of principals from removal crisis, were determined crisis removal methods and finally were identified what the benefits of crisis.
