A RESEARCH FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ OPINIONS ABOUT VALUE EDUCATION

Aim of this research is to detect opinions about the values and value education which are in elementary school curriculum. This research is based on scanning model. This research was done with 130 elementary school teachers in 2011-2012 education year. 1 to 5 likert scale was developed by researchers and status were analyzed by different variables. Although, there is no difference with sex, vocational priority and branch about teachers’ view about value; there is difference with finding sufficiency about course’ content. The most common used educational approaches which are used by teachers are that, value education as role-model, explaining value and education with ethic judgment.
