ACCORDING TO PISA 2009 RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COUNTRIES’ GENERAL AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT LEVELS
Abstract :
This research aims to compare successful (Chine-Shanghai, S.Korea), a moderate success (France, Hungary) and less successful (Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan) six countries in PISA 2009 with Turkey. It was tried to determine how there is a difference among the six countries, participating in PISA exam, general and human development levels with the success of Turkey s general and human development. A descriptive analysis model has been used as the research document. In this study, evaluation was made with shared data of international organizations on the internet. PISA exam focuses on reading, maths and science successes is done in OECD and paticipated countries in every three years. Tecnological, economic and social variables have been taken into consideration for development. Countries’ general and humanity developments have been shown into tables with different variables. Some researches and reports about the subject have taken part in the study. As a result of the research, it was observed that successfull countries in PISA test have the highest level of general and human development. Turkey is behind the succesfull countries within overall improvement of the general and humanitarian data. It can be said that there is a positive relationship between succes and development when the data are compared.
