Abstract :
In order to ready of young population to modern society, science education has an important role. How to carry out by teachers of science education is one of the ingredients for success. According to the PISA data of last four years, Finland which is the most prominent in science literacy and Turkey give a clue about the success. Therefore, teacher training programs that give science education were tried to display its similarities and differences by using horizontal approaches of Turkey and Finland. This study is a descriptive research design in survey method. The achievement of Finland according to international exams is an important detail because of high quality teacher program. For this reason, the idea that can be an important model for our country of the Finnish science teacher training model is discussed in detail including Turkish science teacher training model. In this study, the teacher training programs of both countries including science success have been compared and observed to be similar and different points.
