Abstract :
In this study, it has been aimed to specify students’ perception and remark towards the process of implementation of the package program in line with the activity research approach which has been developed for Turkish classes to be associated with critical literacy instruction. A package program composed of a guidebook about Turkish classes associated with critical literacy instruction, a textbook and a student workbook has been arranged and finalized in accordance with the expert opinion. The implementation of the research has lasted for eight weeks and it has been taken place at the classroom 6/F in Mehmetçik Secondary School which is located in the city center of Balıkesir. In an aim to collect data throughout the implementation process; researcher journal, student journal, student portfolio, video record, voice record, observation and interview have been used as seven different qualitative data gathering instruments. Following the data colleciton; the processes of content analysis and data coding, finding and arranging the theme, identifying and interpreting the findings have been carried out. As a result of this research, it has been understood that the students inquire during the Turkish classes which have been associated with critical literacy and which have been implemented according to the package program. It has also been understood that the students state that they will be able to use what they have learnt in everyday life. Students state that in the process of instruction they are interested in visual texts and it has been understood that they find these Turkish classes entertaining.
