Abstract :
This research aims to investigate 7th grade students knowledge construction process in geometry and to find an answer to the questions: ‘How do the 7th grades students construct their knowledge while developing their geometric thinking levels?’ with a close analysis of their process of constructing knowledge. Descriptive case study which is one of the case studies was chosen as a research method. The case study was conducted with the 1 and 3rd level student according to the geometric thinking levels. And their knowledge construction processes were investigated. On the study, open-ended problem was used. Interview and observation data collection techniques were used on the case study. Data analysis in the study was conducted with content analysis of qualitative data analysis. Different followed ways were observed between different geometric thinking level of students mathematical thinking knowledge construction process.
