Abstract :
It is important that hotel employees display organizational citizenship behaviors so that hotel managements can achieve customer satisfaction and competition superiority. This paper aims to find out the impact of psychological empowerment of employees on organizational citizenship behaviors. To conduct the research, a survey has been formed drawing mainly from Psychological Empowerment Scale and Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale. This survey has been administered between January, 10th and the March, 10th to 171 employees of six five-star hotels serving to football tourism in Antalya. After having completed the reliability and validity analysis of the scales, the research findings showed that employees’ perception of being psychologically empowerment had positive impact on organizational citizenship behaviors. In this respect, it could be suggested that hotel managers should increase the employees’ psychological empowerment perceptions to increase extra-role behavior that could contribute to organizational productivity.
