Abstract :
In the studies conducted in recent years in the field of Turcology, have comparative studies been attracting attention. In particular, studies based on equivalence and false equivalence among dialects have been carried out. Kilis and Hatay accents have been compared in this study as it is thought that such kind of comparative studies - to be conducted among Anatolian accents – would be really useful for Turcology. Similar points have been found out between Hatay and Kilis accents in view of phone and form; furthermore, the words in the two accents have been compared in terms of equivalence and false equivalence. In this study, the studies named “Kilis Masalları (Doğramacıoğlu, 2002)” and “Kilis Ağzı (Elhan, 2004)” for Kilis accent, and the studies named “Antakya Ağzı Sözlüğü (Nakip,2004)” and “Hatay Ağzı (Öztürk,2009a)” for Hatay accent have been based, additionally the studies conducted with the source people have been benefitted for Hatay accent. As a result of the study, it has been revealed that two accents are still maintaining their familiarity which comes from the history.
