Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the views of pre-service Turkish Language teachers on classroom management in different dimensions such as “teacher quality, obstacles, strategies to use solutions of obstacles, things to do for skill development, communication and time management”. The study group of research, in which case study was adopted among the qualitative research approaches, was consisted 37 teacher candidate who had been having training at the department of Turkish Education in Faculty of Education, Bartın University. The content analysis was performed on collected data which was collected through constructed interview form developed by the researcher through using QSR NVivo 8.0 qualitative analysis program. According to research results, pre- service teachers exerted that they need to have communication skills such as equality, language- wording, and empathy; expertise skills such as field knowledge and fluency. Besides, pre-service teachers regard discipline, authority, and hierarchy and consider the punishment strategies as important in terms of such as ensuring the discipline, increasing motivation, and improving learning. In addition, they stated that practicum needs to be given by earlier semester and wanted practice oriented classroom management approach in the foreground.
