Abstract :
To provide feedback in the process of writing is very important since students can develop their text via utilizing the feedback provided. But feedback provided must be compatible with expectations of students. There are few studies on this subject in teaching Turkish as a foreign language area. Therefor this study aimed to investigate students’ preferences of receiving feedback while learning Turkish as a foreign language. The participants of the study included 181 students learning Turkish as a foreing language. The data were collected through the questionnaire developed by the researchers.As a result,the findings of the related studies in literature and this study togetherindicate that the students are waiting for written feedback provided by teachers after finishing the writing of the draft text. Besides, for the success of the process teachers should demonstrate the improvement way by giving detailed written explanation. Indicating the error by underlyning or symbols was not found a preferred method by the students.
