Abstract
The present study was conducted to compare impact of concept cartoons andinstructional comics in teaching value of sensation on natural environment in experimental design without control group, one of the quantitative research traditions. It was carried out with 62 5 grade students, studying a public secondary school in Kilis in 2014-2015 instructional year. One group was instructed through concept cartoon, while other group was instructed through instructional comics. Experimental process took 2 weeks. Experimental process was ended by post-test. Data was analysed through ANCOVA and independent t-test was employed to discover whether there was significant differences between the groups. As a result of the study it was concluded that instructional comics increased more academic success than concept cartoons.
