Abstract :
Technology, which has reached a dimension that could be used in every field of life, has alsobecome one of the indispensable supplementary elements and both an instrument and a goal in theprocess of education. Technology-aided materials and activities have been started to be designed in order to achieve the educational goals. While answering the questions of ‘’what, to whom and how’’ to teach, which are the basis of the teaching process, there are many answers that could be acquired from the information technologies for the question of ‘’how?’’ (Büyükaslan, 2007). Despite this, it is observed that the use of technology within educational settings is limited. One of the fields in which the use of technology has gained importance but there are some deficiencies in establishing applications and materials as well, is the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language. With this purpose, a computer -aided material recommendation that was thought to contribute to the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language, was suggested. The dimensions of establishment and implementation of this material called ‘’the Storyboard’’ were discussed. The Storyboard was thought to affect learning in a positive way in terms of enabling students to attend the lesson actively and providing feedback by assessing the student development in the process (Hakkari, Kantar, Bayram, İbili, Doğan, 2009: 275). The material was created through a website. The views of three specialists actually working in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language on usability of the images designed for the study were asked. The material was implemented on two A1-level classes from Yunus Emre Institute in Tbilisi, Georgia. It was concluded that the material was usable and had the quality of a supplementary material for the classes.
