Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate the time management skills of physical education teachers. The study group consisted of a total of 175 (135 male and 40 female) physical education teachers working in schools of Trabzon city center. In the study, “Personal Data Form” and “Time Management Inventory” which had been tested for reliability and validity and adapted to Turkish by Gozel (2009) was used as data collection tools.T-test for independent groups was used as statistical method to analyze the data. Also KMO and Bartlett’s test was used for factor analysis. As a result, although it was found out that female teachers of Physical Education were a little more successful on the time management matters than male teachers, no statistical significance was found between these two groups. Thus, it was concluded that gender was not an effective factor in the assessment of their attitude toward time and time planning. On the other hand, as their age increased, teachers’ skills for using time efficiently decreased. In addition, all the physical education teachers were found to read publications about time management in the study.
