Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to analyze humility levels of individuals taking pedagogical formation training in terms of some variables. The quantitative survey method was used in this study. Study group in this research consists of 150 individuals taking pedagogical formation training at Adana Çukurova University Faculty of Education during the 2014-2015 academic year. The data was collected by using “Personal Information Form”,developed by the researcher and to determine the humility levels of individuals, the Humility Scale, which was developed by Elliott (2010), and adapted into Turkish by Akın, Gediksiz and Akın (2012), was used [7;11].To analyze the data obtained from this study, various inferential analyses tests such as T test, ANOVA, LSD and Scheffe tests were used (p 0.05). In the light of the data obtained, it was observed that in terms of the gender variable there was a statistically significant difference in the students’ levels of humility in favor of females, in terms of the age variable there was no significant difference in the students’ levels of humility, in terms of the department variable there was a significant difference in the students’ levels of humility in favor of students graduated from the department of recreation, in terms of the socio-economic level variable there was no significant difference in the students’ levels of humility, in terms of the parental attitude variable there was a significant difference in the students’ levels of humility in favor of students graduated from the department of recreation, and it was also determined that other sub dimensions did not make a meaningful difference.
