Abstract :
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of six-week long preseason training program on physical and physiologic parameters of amputee football players. A total of 33 male amputee football players between the ages of 19 and 50 who were playing in the teams of Şahinbey Belediyesi Spor Kulübü and Gaziantep Bedensel Engelliler Spor Kulübü participated in the study. 6 week-long preseason training program was applied to teams. Within the scope of the study, age, height, body weight and body fat percentage of footballers’ were determined first. Next,some tests were administered to determine the performance of the participants (back strength, upper extremity strength, abdominal strength, leg strength, grip strength, flexibility, vertical jump, 30 m sprint test and 1 mile run test). Paired Samples T test was used to analyze the difference between pre and posttests of the study group.According to the results of pretest and posttest measurements, statistical significance was found in body weight,body fat percentage, hand grip strength, back strength, leg strength, flexibility, anaerobic power, 30 m. sprint and VO2Max parameters (p 0.05). As a result, it can be said 6 week-long preseason training program has positive effects on physical and physiological parameters of amputee football players.
