Abstract :
In this study, behavior of multi-drum columns of the ancient structures is investigated. The study is carried out both experimental and analytical. In the experimental study multi-drum column is tested in shaking table with different accelerations and displacements of the column are recorded using potentiometers. Behavior of the column is determined for the different accelerations and at the same time, the column is analyzed using finite element method. For the finite element analysis MSC Marc Mentat package programming is used. Experimental and analytical results are compared and it is seen that results are compatible.
