Comparision of ANSYS and STA4-CAD Analysis Results of Reinforced Concrete Frames with Shear Wall
Abstract :
Later added infill walls of the structure (reinforcement shear walls) increases the earthquake resistance of reinforced concrete structure significantly (and practical – low cost). Indeed, at present the most effective and common method to increase the existing poor earthquake resistance of a structure is to infill reinforcement shear walls. Therefore, many of the latest experimental and theoretical researchs focused on the shear walls.In this study, non-linear behaviors under lateral loading of reinforced concrete frames, which reinforced with the addition of partially reinforced concrete shear walls (also lab tested) were analyzed by ANSYS program which uses finite elements method. A weak two - storey and two - spans of the frame (bare frame and streghtened with infill walls structure) inelastic analysis made with ANSYS and STA4-CAD programs. These obtained four results compared with each other.
