Abstract :
In today’s world energy is invaluable, thus, effective use of energy is too significant. Energy efficiency can be increased by enhancing the thermal transmission properties of the materials which are used in buildings, building elements, refrigerators and in areas where energy loss is too much. In our country, some studies on vacuum insulation panels as innovative insulation material which will support energy efficiency have been started. Since the thermal insulation property of vacuum insulation panels which have a deflated nanoporous core is too much higher than the conventional insulating materials, excellent values can be reached in energy efficiency. In this article, with the purpose of contributing to the industrial and scientific research, literature search on physical and mechanical properties of vacuum insulation panels, insulation properties, and production methods was reviewed and research findings were presented in brief.
