Abstract :
Although the new spinning systems have been used for a long time, the majority of yarn production is still carried out with conventional machines. Especially, the flexibility of Ring spinning system in producing yarns at wide number range and the high quality yarns obtained make the Ring Spinning system highly competitive against the new yarn spinning technologies. However, new spinning technologies such as Murata Air Jet System, Murata Vortex System and Rieter Air Jet System, where the rotating air twists the yarns, offers advantages in terms of high speed production rate, reduced process phases, and less space and personnel requirements. Consequently, investigating the yarn spinning theories behind these new spinning technologies and comparing the process parameters play a crucial role in order to enable manufacturers to enhance the air jet yarn quality. This study aims to analyze Murata Air Jet System, Murata Vortex and newly developed Rieter Air Jet System, and to compare the yarn properties obtained through these systems.
