Effective Parameters on Maximum Capasity of Chemical Anchors Under Shear Loads
Abstract :
In recent years, chemical anchors are widely used for transferring loads between old and new structural members in strengthening applications. In case, pullout and shear loads must be calculated accurately. Data obtained from the experiments performed in Pamukkale University Earthquake and Construction Technology Research Laboratory for strengthening existing concrete structures and regression analysis is carried out and a anchor shear model was developed. Data used in creating the model is obtained by testing steel bars having different diameters embedded into concrete blocks representing the existing structures having different concrete compressive strength and their shear strength were determined. In this study, a parametric study is carried out with different parameters to generalize about anchor shear capacity.
